Got one yesterday,looks like hbf or hrf on yellow tag with NY P.O. box. Anyone know what info they want.Tks. Schoolies very active in bay yesterday. We boated over fifty fish including one 30 inch keeper and one slot.

Hudson River Foundation tag. I'm pretty sure they would like length of fish, date caught, and location. It's good to see the bass getting active!

i got one a number of years ago, cut it off and mailed it in. they asked for some basic info about the fish i mailed that in and they sent me a check for like $20. for that one day, i was being PAID to go fishing :)

I caught a belly tagged HRF striper in Barnegat Inlet and got $10 reward for reporting it. If you return the tag, you enter a year end lottery where you may win $1,000, $500, $250 or $100. ALS spaghetti tags are yellow and placed near the dorsal fin.

Thanks all,it was a HRF tag and I mailed it in with the form they have you print out. All fish were caught throwing storm shads (5") all day.
