I did the Fri/Sat 24 hour trip last weekend. The fish were there. Conditions were tough..

Couldn't make it next week so I switched my trip over to last nights "lite load" trip.
Drifted first without a touch so we moved and anchored up. Fish waited until the front moved through around 0330 and when most of the lightening had passed and when the rain was coming down sideways it was game on. Mostly bruiser yellows were being boated. You could see the fish zipping through the slick under the boat. I got 2 yellows around 80lbs. - kicked my azz.
Bite slowed up around 5ish and then another shot of longfins around 1st light.
Set up to drift around 10:30 and the crew had fish in the slick again. Very finicky though - some hook ups and 2 boated. Mahi also in slick but I didn't see any landed.
Bouncy we ride in but a great trip with a great boat and crew.
My bigger fish won the pool too! Wasn't the biggest but you gotta be in it to win it.
