Party Boat Angler Saturday report

It was a windy start but a calm nice ocean at quitting time. We all wished that the sea bass season was open as that fishing was very good. We were looking for the porgies so it shows you what you can catch with small hooks and little baits. We did manage some jumbo porgies but they were hard to find. We had greens on board and the tog fishing was good with the crabs. Jose Rayes from Garfield took the pool with a tog. Once again there were fluke, flounder and some blow fish in the mix. Overall good fishing but not enough legal species.

I think our problem today was yesterdays southerly and with that behind us and good weather the next 2 days the porgies may turn on.
