We have been in NE' weather now for over a week! The last trips we sailed were Monday and Tuesday night of last week. Both trips found some very nice Stripers up to 30 pounds with 14 keepers on Monday and close to 20 on tuesday! Lou lost one at the net close to 40lbs.....glad it got away though as I'm sure he would have released it anyway. All fish were caught on eels.
Our daily schedule will start this Saturday, Oct. 10th fishing for Striped Bass and Blue fish. Jigging and eeling for now.
I'm sure the bulk of the fishing we will be catching Blues till the water gets colder and the fall migration actually starts. The Bass being caught now are the local fish, hopefully we can get a few to bite during the day on the eels also. Make sure to bring a heavier rod and lots of lead for the eel fishing, noodle rods won't make it this time of year. A mix of jigs, Ava 27's, 47's, jigs with tails and storm shads (you never know). Gotta be prepared!!
Capt. Dan sails Monday-Saturday night 6:30pm till 11:30pm .....For information on the night fishing he can be reached at 908-930-2335.
Hope to have some promising reports soon!
