Today Capt. Jay ran a 6 am - 2 pm Fluke trip for a great group of guys. Started real promising but lost the drift and bounced around finding a bunch of shorts with a few keepers. The surprise of the day was the amount of monster Seabass we were catching, with a few north of 5.5 lbs to this beautiful bruiser below, a Fluke pool winner at 21" / 7.15 lbs.:mad::mad: All Seabass safely released for the much anticipated Oct. 22 opening day, with these pieces primed and ready right now.:mad::mad: Thanks everyone for sailing with us. Back at it tomorrow -

No shyt storm Honger, when we got her in the net we couldn't believe the size either. We scrambled for the camera, ruler, weighed her and got her back in the water quickly. We all catch Seabass, but not many that size at all, the biggest we've seen inshore and absolutely beautiful to see. No reason to stretch.

Hello Bob, it's been a while, hope all is well with you and yours :) Only meant that the Seabass we caught today (if season was open) , would have won a Fluke pool on our boat. Stay well, tight lines.

Read it about 10 times before I commented.
Both don't make sense unless they ate 4 pound meals right before being caught.
Seems the wording of our post may have been confusing. We will try and be clearer when posting. With all due respect Honger, I will agree with you a Fluke at 21" / 7.15 lbs. may be a stretch but the Seabass caught we show in this thread is every fraction of 7.15 lbs. Tight lines and hopefully there's more where this came from.
