Stripers or Bluefish in NJ Surf?

Just wondering if anyone has been catching either bass or bluefish in the surf recently?
Was going to go this week for fluke in the surf but if there is bass or blue activity, would be awesome if I could finally catch one of them!

No blues yet but loads of huge rays...tough day yesterday with rough surf and wind..some bait in the wash

Its been a mix of small fish from sun set to sun up.
Small blues on t hex and short bass here and there on swim plugs.

Interesting. going to give it a shot. mostly concentrating on fluke in the day then maybe i'll switch to plugs at sunset. Thank you all for the info!

Rays have been fun one day I went in August this year. then i came back 1 week later and there was NO FISH, only crabs. crazy how sandy hook can change in a short period of time. the fish migrate a lot it seems. even dogfish and rays.
