Today we had an open boat bottom trip and we worked hard to put a catch together. We drifted several pieces today for some nice Sea BASS, LING, Scup, and Fluke, keepers and shorts. By day's end the boys put a nice catch of fish in the cooler with several guys reaching their Sea BASS limit. Today's trip sailed from Brooklyn, N.Y.

Might consider changing your sailing address on your web site captain or stop posting pictures of fish harvested which are currently closed in New Jersey waters. I know your post says you sailed from NY on this trip BUT I happen to know a charter captain who did exactly the same thing and ended up being fined by New Jersey authorities for keeping fish during the closed season. They used pictures posted of his trips from his own web site as evidence against him, never even saw his charter's catch. Fines were completely based on the fact that his web site said he sailed from a New Jersey port! Do as you wish but wanted to give you a heads up. Maybe if you have proof in the form of cancelled checks for a marina in NY it might make a difference but in the event you don't wouldn't want to see you go through the same aggravation. It's beyond ridiculous in and of itself that NY currently can keep 8 sea bass per person and New Jersey is locked out until October 22nd but in spite of that I'd hate to see someone else pay a hefty fine because of a post on a web site.

We have two slips one in Sea BRIGHT N.J and one in Brooklyn N.Y. We fill out trip reports to prove where we sailed from, i appreciate the heads up Dakota.
