Looks like a Squeteague. Very rare in NJ waters. Word is, if you're lucky enough to find them, you can keep one.

When you hold a 10 pounder in your hands, there may not be a more beautiful fish swimming in our waters. But she can have 50,000 to 100,000 eggs in her each year we let her live. FYI- NJ-1 fish @13" and yes it's the sometimes elusive Weakfish.
