We had John, Ed, and Buzzy onboard today to get in on some of the porgy action. Although the action wasn't up and down, it was steady and the fish were all quality. A couple of them looked like their Florida cousins and some of the Trigger fish were brutes. John Fernandez and I caught the two biggest Porgys. A 34.1 lb and a 38.4 pounder!
Actually, we were surprised by a couple of Black Drum in 18 feet of water. Three more were unstoppable, and are still running north. Check out the pics.
On another note, it seems that Nj fishing.com Ambassador 'Cuz' has some ill feeling towards Capt Tom. Tommy asked me to re-post his reply to Cuz because it got buried in page 2 of the thread titled 'Larry Holmes KO's the Porgys'. Tom Joseph is one of the kindest and most honest people I've ever met, and I will defend him with no questions asked. Capt. Ed Piersanti
