East wind combined with incoming tide made for a fast drift on Romer Shoal. Plenty of short action with one keeper Fluke @ 18” for me as we drifted West as far as #4 Chapel Hill Channel. Getting tired of being beat up with the increasing SE wind Tom made a move to the shadow of Sandy Hook near #13 Sandy Hook Channel. While drifting the channel near to slack tide we each picked up a keeper @ 18”.Headed back through a rough bay at noon with our three keepers. There were no doggies, skates or yellow-eyed demons caught. In the morning there were no trailers from rampers and the parking lot for private boats were nearly empty. We had the Atlantic Highlands Marina all to ourselves. Pete
