2 days worth of reports:
Friday 8/14: Had an open trip w 4 anglers today as 2 had to bail last minute on Thursday. Fished an area we haven't really fished since late June and found some life. Basically it was a Grind all day but got some nice fish and loads of shorts. Wound up w 15 keepers 2 @ 6# plus countless shorts as well as some very lucky would-be keeper seabass -- mike had his limit first for him in years. Overall it wound up being a nice day with some nice quality fish.
Saturday 8/15: Basically a carbon copy of Friday! FSOS tourney, had our lines in at 530 and had a slow grindish pick all day long. Everywhere we stopped we caught fish, but there was no great bite anywhere. Wound up with 17 keepers today to 6# -- just couldn't find the right one. Lots of nice fish today in the 3-5# range, and again a lot of shorts as well as 2 silver eels which both made us think we had monster flatties on :rolleyes: Back at it tomorrow -- congrats to the winners!
