Tried Texas tower early, didn't find the clear blue water that was there Sunday so we pushed on to the tip of Husdon. Water at tip of Hudson was clear and blue, around 79 degrees. Ran down west wall, east wall, all over. Plenty of life, whales, porpoises etc. But couldn't get a tuna to bite. Conditions seemed perfect though. The other guys on radio weren't doing anything either, except for one 150 lb blue marlin. No marks either, guess it was just an off day or we just weren't in the right place... will be back at it next week to try. One captain said he was there going on 16 hours without a tuna, after chunkin and trolling all night/morning. This was my first ever trip to Husdon.

We had the same bad luck this morning... only the morning to fish so we went out to Chicken Canyon trolling for 3 hours.... conditions were great this morning.... had nice water 75 deg....but not a bite or even saw anything ...
nice fast, smooth ride in and appreciate just being able to to be out there on a Thursday :D

Seems like most of the activity in the Canyon so far this year is trolling false light, dusk and many are trolling into the evenings. Let's hope the typical later summer troll during the day and chunk at night gets into gear.
Thanks for the report and please keep them coming.

Thanks for sharing the info. Sorry you weren't able to get on them out there and don't let it discourage you, nature of the sport sometimes.
