We had another great charter aboard for an overnighter Tuesday into Wednesday. Got out to the grounds around 2 pm and trolled until 9pm without a touch before our flat line went off over top of some great bait reads. 5 minutes later we put a nice 50 lb wahoo in the boat. Just get the lines set back out and the other flat line gets hammered and makes a good run. Thought it would a quicker fight then what it was but 40 minutes later we put a 170lb Bigeye in the boat. Trolled another hour with no luck. On the chunk we had a 50lb yellowfin right away and then silence......until 3:30 when the Canyon EX 16 started screaming. Thought we hooked a pot because we couldn't stop it Until 50 yds left on the spool. Had the fish to the boat 30 minutes later just to find out it was a 200 lb class bigeye right before he sounded for the deep. On only 50lb fluoro we had to play the game smart and 3 hours later we put the harpoon in him. What a battle! We packed up and headed to beach haven for the White Marlin Invitational. Once there we got the fish fileted and sent them back to Brielle in a stretch limo. Bigeye fishing is great right now
