Sticking to my convictions of fishing the Ocean this time of year!
With wind against all day, power drifting the bay is not an option for us. Worked the snags, rocks and anything else we could to put our customers on the meat.
Yesterday we had No wind, No current but still caught fish. Today we had lot's of wind, lots of current...unfortunately, they were both in the opposite direction!

Still managed to catch fish..Capt. Ron Sr. had his limit along with 3 very nice Sea bass. Tom (the Hammer) Krako landed the pool fish at 6.7 pounds.
Several customers had 2 nice fish to take home with short action all day.
If we could get a day where everything is right, it will be a home run. Just gotta have patience and keep on working hard. Some nice Sea Bass also.

CHARTERED FRIDAY AND MONDAY MORNING....

Hey Capt. Ron, I have fished next to Capt. Ron Sr. over the years ........can you explain why in bad conditions, he always catches fish.....some times it is disheartening. I guess experience counts more than anyone knows.

If you watch him, he never stops working the bait, ESPECIALLY with NO Drift....I would think if you fish next to him the smart thing to do is...Do what he does. Same rig, same bait or Gulp, same bounce. ASK HIM how to do it , he is a teacher and loves to share his knowledge.
If you are still Disheartened after that, I don't know what to tell ya.:)

This was a while back, maybe 6 years, but I was fluke fishing on the Fishermen with a friend and NOBODY was catching. Even the sharpies in the bow. I watched Ron come down with what looked like a rental rod, a 6 oz sinker and a hook about 8" away. I may be exaggerating but it was super simple regardless. He caught a keeper... within about 3 minutes. It was like magic.
