Had a full crew of 6 on today for a full day "fluke" trip.
Nice swell early, but got a few bites from shorts and seabass. Bounced around, found a little patch, picked a few keepers, that was it. Bounced around A LOT more and only could catch some shorts here and there.
Loads of seabass around though. If the bag limit WASN'T 2 PER MAN we would've done a number on them (and I would've had clams on the boat!!) - we caught a near boat limit on BUCKTAILS AND GULP - the "closure" is a JOKE.
Fluke fishing was a complete stroke job - just a few keepers all day long and really not that many shorts - but again the seabass were chewing real good lol
*We will not be sailing for a week - it's OUR 10th wedding anniversary and we're celebrating with a trip to Disney for a week :) We'll be back running NEXT Monday :)
