Is this a Joke? While we are being told the stocks are rebuilt, there is no over fishing and over fishing hasn't occurred, now they want to cut the take!
I call BS!
When the Sexting studies were done with Rutgers and the data proved that just about "ALL" 18 inch fish and over were females, the data was tossed in the trash only because certain organizations could'nt put their stamp on it, yet they donated NO money to the study!! 3 years of work down the toilet, but we are forced to take 18 inch fish and kill the breeders, same as the Big Bass (but that's another story).
While I get checks every other day from hard working people who are fishermen and believe in the cause, some as much as $500 to fight the BS, I have not received a dime from any of the people who's lives depend on this! Sit back and watch as our boats and businesses Rot at the dock! Not the way or the way I'm going out.
Take away your guns, take away your voice, this is AMERICA people, have we forgotten that....WTF.
Sorry to piss off my Brothers (Gregg, Tony, Dave, Nick, Willie, Bob and all the others) who have been fighting so hard, but I can't keep it in any longer....Tiered of fighting when no-one has my back.
3 Scotch night for sure!

So if your fellow for hire fishermen don't care, why should we?

Capt Ron I don't blame you for being pissed. Every one of use who fish for Fluke should be pissed. With Sea Bass down to only 2 now this ...what next? What will we fish for. What about all these other organizations that get a ton of $$ from Recreational Fisherman....what the hell have they been doing for all these years?? It's a bad situation and total BS !!

Just for the record, JCAA plans to help out. I will be discussing the situation with SSFFF in the near future. JCAA has been operating in the red for the last three years but we are hoping for a much bigger profit from our fluke tournament this year. We were hammered by horrible weather during our tournaments the last two years. We have added incentives this year and hope to have good weather. The more money we make the more we will be able to contribute.

Because it effects YOU and Everyone else, not just me. Maybe you know how to play golf or have another hobby you can enjoy when it's over...
And you are 100% correct, without response from the industry, what does that say about all this?

Does anybody have the info on how many weekends where un fish-able due to bad weather this fluke season? The majority of the fishing is done on the weekends and not during the week. I would like to know where and what days of the week they get there fish caught and kept numbers from? Is there a way to question these numbers and if so does anybody or organization do so? From the reports I have been seeing the Fluke fishing is not fantastic! Maybe for some sharpies but that's it. How many keepers per trip per 10 people fishing on a party boat. I don't think it's 50! Something is very wrong here!

Even the local tackle shops should take donations. If every time you stopped at the tackle shop or went on a party boat and donated a few bucks each time it would add up. Although i don`t like it it is pay to play. Save the summer flounder is one organization i will always give to.

To the best of my knowledge the JCAA has not donated a dime to the SSFFF since it was started in 2007

Yes, you are correct. But Paul has stated that they will be in touch. I will certainly keep Everyone posted, when and if this happens.

..and this is what I dont understand. Going back to my original post that Captain Ron responded to. If the for hire industry is not kicking in to fight the fight, why should the everyday angler do so?
Why isnt EVERY club, association, party, charter and every other fishing association out there doing there part?
