We live in the most densely populated state in the country, yet it never ceases to amaze me that if you pick the right body of water at the right time/day, you can have an epic outing, and have it all to yourself.

A couple of hours post-rain this evening and my buddy Steve and I scored a bunch of bows chasing bait-fish near the surface. They hit jighead Keitech fat worms of all things, and ignored the shiners we offered. Then we caught some nice LMB on shiners that completely ignored the Keitech jig offerings. Go figure?

I swore I wouldn't fish here during the summer because of the crowds. Am glad I didn't follow my own advice! Just pray for inclement weather on a weekday and hit it hard!

Couple o' pics.

Tight lines all you Jerzee Fishin' Foolz! :)

My favorite part of fishing is seclusion away from the general population! Glad you were able to find that and find some fish too. Trout in July is pretty cool too!

Nice fish.
In a state more densely populated than Japan, it's tough to avoid the teeming hordes of summer and enjoy a quiet day of fishing.

One time this spring, to avoid the mobs of trout anglers during stocking season, I parked along a dirt road and hiked into the woods to fish a pond I thought few people knew about - only to find a crowd of loud, drunken googans already fishing there.
