HUNDREDS OF CHANCES TO WIN
This event is actually nine mini-tournaments in one. Each weigh station or port has its own set of prizes for the heaviest fluke brought to the scales including $1,200 in cash for 1st place: Manasquan Port donated by Hoffman's Marina, Barnegat Bay port donated by South Harbor Marine, LBI port donated by Fisherman’s Headquarters, and Cape May port donated by RJ Marine Service and the rest of the ports donated by JCAA.
Major sponsors this year are G3 Boats, Salem Boat Exchange, Spring Garden Marine, Mercer Marine Supply and Mayberry Sales and Service, Yamaha Outboards, Costa Sunglasses, Interlux Paint, Underwater Green Fishing Lights, Tica Fishing Tackle and Canyon Reels.
That’s a total of 90 port prizes! But there is more, much more! Contestants register in one of 9 ports from Jersey City to Cape May, each with easy access weigh stations. You compete only against those boats registered in that port for the generous list of port prizes.
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR? This year there will be Optional Cash Categories (Calcuttas) of $50.00 & $100.00 for each port and $50.00 & $100.00 Calcuttas for the overall tournament! 7/8ths of the money goes to the winners and 1/8th goes to JCAA. Also new this year is a $25,000 Big Fluke Prize for anyone catching and weighing in a fluke exceeding 12lbs. by at least 1/100oz. However, your entry must be received by July 20th to qualify for this prize. So get your entry in by July 20th!!!
THE DRAWING WITHIN THE TOURNAMENT
In addition to your chance to win any of the port prizes by using your fishing skills, every boat entered has a shot at winning the Boat, Motor & Trailer Grand Prize and a host of door prizes. These will be given away as part of a huge drawing at the gala awards ceremony hosted by the Holiday Inn on Rte. 72 in Manahawkin on Wednesday, August 12th, 2015. At least one member from your crew must be present for you to win the Grand Prize and door prizes. There will be plenty of fun at the awards ceremony and you will have a chance to meet our sponsors and the JCAA volunteer staff. Come early and have fun! Port prizes and door prizes will, once again, be presented at the event by our master of ceremonies, Dr. Pat Donnelly.

Just 5 more days to sign up if you want to be eligible for the 25 K prize. We have about 125 entrants so far so the Calcuttas are building up too.

Any idea of what the calcutta pay outs might be? There will be more boats in this years event.

Also, many thanks to Hoffmans Marina for their support in putting up the $1200 Manasquan River port prize.

I can see some lucky angler walking away with several thousand dollars.

Ken,

With all the different Calcuttas, it is hard to say. There should be some big money here though. We already have over 160 entrants and many are joining the Calcuttas.
