Bucktails are taking a toll on the non skid on our deck. Small dings all over the place from people dropping their bucktails on the deck.

Have any of you done repairs yourself and if so how did you go about it, or might this job be better left to a professional?

Never tried it and probably won't attempt a repair myself. I need the same fix done but think the job may be too small for a pro to take on.

Curious to see what replies you get. I would love to get these repaired.

Yep - they are annoying, especially if your anal like me.

We have a few other scrapes and bruises on other parts of the boat I'd like to get touched up too.

Had a friend of mine try to do this... Gel Coat did not match and it looked worse then when he started... Color matching the gel coat is probably the trickiest thing.

More importantly, how do you deal with your brother when it happens:D

I they the best way to deal with them is a 45. Shoot them so they never ding another deck

I will post the gel coat company that worked on my boat at Gateway Marina. There work was second to none and very reasonable pricing!!! Give me a week or two til we cut the shrink off and I see him in the yard!!!
