I just got done read Capt Ron's from the Fishermans post. He is spot on. A lot of people get scared away by the weather man. Well this is a tool for you to use. It's an app call my radar and it's free!!!!!! As I always say. If it's free it's for me :D. It will give you real time rain. How big the storm is the direction it's moving in and how intense the rain in. It has salvaged many trips for me. Weather man say rain 60% chance right? But where? Will you will know if you use this app. Also if you're fishing see storms in the distance you can track direction and how long it will probably last. Big safety tool too. I suggest you get it a try. It will certain give you accurate information and get you fishing more. You will also know when to quit. I hope the admin doesn't delete this. I'm not trying to advertise for this app just trying to help other fisherman out.

The weather channel app also has live radar. When I know there is a chance of storms or I see ominous looking high top clouds, I will make my own decision by simply checking the radar to see where the storms are and what direction they are heading. It lets know how much time you have to get out of Dodge because I don't play with lightning.

Another good resource is www.fishweather.com

Tells you all the particulars like wind speed, direction, wave heights etc.

Great app. Pay the $2 and get rid of the ads at the bottom of the screen.

Exactly why radar doesn't mean a thing when it's this soupy out. A t-storm can develop right over you outta nowhere.

Blame the weatherman all you want but it's far from an exact science.

Exact science. These Fkrs are down right worthless!!!!!! They are wrong more than they are right. That's why you buy a hard top :D

I use a different app, but there's a number of really good radar apps out there that give you real time info, and they're more reliable than what the goofs on radio and tv are telling us. I also don't understand the aversion to fishing when there is only going to be a passing storm here and there, and all day deluge I understand staying home. Some of the people who don't want to fish with a few drops coming down will stand in a downpour all day at a concert or waiting in line for free stuff somewhere. Hell, I wish I had more time to fish, even in the rain.
