Me, Joey, George and Arty did a last minute late afternoon/early evening Fluke trip. Only 8 keepers but 4 were very nice fish in the 8/9 lb class. All caught on the outgoing on Bucktails and gulp teaser and my biggest actually hit the bucktail.
Some of the guys were tipping the gulp with bait but all my fish were caught on plain gulp. Color did not seem to matter.
A fun night of fishing with some quality fish.

Definitely one of the best days Fluking I've ever had as far as quality fish.
It wasn't until I got home and re hashed the day that I realized how special it was. That's what I love about this sport.... The anticipation of going fishing and the memories afterwards are as much fun as fishing itself.
Top the experience off with the company of some great friends, a cigar, a beer and some ball busting... Man I love this great sport of ours :)
Nothing better.
Dales - Your fish would have been eaten by these fish in the live well :)
Sal - These fish were suicidal and yes, I think even Shrimpy could have caught one

I agree I enjoy the pre planning and the story telling as much s the trip itself😀
Gerry, Great catch. Especially for the poor fluking we got handed us this year so far. Can't remember when it was this bad. Hopefully it'll get better toward the end of July. I went on a half day boat out of AH this afternoon. Five keepers for thirty patrons doesn't cut it. I ended up with five shorts. Haven't caught a keeper in five trips. Some guys never even got a bite. It's been a struggle to say the least. I will call you tomorrow. My regards to the Mrs.
