Anyone have any luck getting a Lowrance HDS unit repaired from a local shop? Lowrance says it's more than 5 years old and is unable to help with any repairs.

I also have a Lowrance HDS unit that they don't want to look at either. The Sounder no longer works. Let me know if you find anyone to fix it. I didn't have any luck. The rest of the unit functions still work great.

I know there are some Lowrance fans out there but I've heard too many horror stories about their service... Yes other brands fail too but it dopes not seem to be as frequent and when they do, their customer service stands behind them. Furuno, Raymarine and Garmin all have excellent customer service.
Be bought a Raymarine E7 a few years back... It was a hybrid touch screen. We had issues with the touch screen, called in and found there was a voluntary recall. Shipped the unit back, they sent us a new one with all the software upgrades for free.
