6/24 - Capts. Ray and Alan had Hank and Jinx K out for their Wednesday fishing trip - the destination today was the canyon for a day troll. While we normally leave at midnight for our day trolls, the Tuesday evening storms delayed our start to Wed 7 am. Arriving in a local canyon, we found beautiful blue 73 to 75 degree water. We had a couple of quick knockdowns at the 100 fathom edge but did not come tight. Wanting to find a white marlin for Jinx, we worked our way out to the warmest water - almost 77 degrees around the 500 fathom line - but found little out there - and worked our way back in to the 100 fathom line where we went 2 for 4 on Yellowfin. With enough tuna for them and some friends, we called it a day and headed home. Lots of promising signs for the offshore season!
