Fish ID ???

[Overtime Fishing]

We were out Saturday sharking and caught this guy. Fought like a blue dawg and was very calm boatside and of course was released. It was a distinct brown color and about 7 or 8 feet long. Any idea what it is?

We also lost a monster mystery fish in a lobster pot and a decent thresher at the side of the boat. Any insight appreciated.

Looks like a Dusky Shark or possibly a Sandbar.
It would be easier with a better pic.

It is definitely either a dusky or sandbar shark, but the angle of the photo makes it difficult to determine the exact species.

I've heard of several Dusky's being caught recently so that a good guess.

Yeah definitely a shark I can tell by its teeth

Yeah - that's what I said. It's a shark. Just look at the teeth and you can tell.
