We had perfect conditions to start the the day in the ocean and I didn't like the inside conditions. We drifted perfectly and picked through the shorts and sharks to put some keepers in the boat. Tried further down the beach and the dogs were flying. When the current picked up we went back inside where we found a new body of fluke. Very good short action again with a few keepers. I moved to a new area which was basically void of fluke a few days ago, to find good action with much nicer fish. We had a number of 5 to 6 pound fluke to weigh for the pool.
I spoke to many other captains and read the reports and our weekend catch of over 60 keepers sounds best.
The weatherman got us today with his doom and gloom and it looks pretty nice in Toms River. The forecast is for no rain till late tomorrow and we should do well fishing.
7:00 AM sailing tomorrow first boat out.
Thanks Captain George
