Installing rod holders

I was just wondering what's a fare price to have 2 rod holders installed in my cc. What do they go for and what should labor be? Thanks

I like perko holders, all stainless. I think they are about 45 bucks each. Pretty simple install drill hole 3/4 pilot holes for,screws then 3/4 screw all done a 1 hr job at best! My guess is 200 bucks total!

Don't forget sealing the big hole with epoxy and the screw holes with 4200 and figuring out the correct angle to drill.

Yes very important to seal the inside diameter of the hole that the rod holder goes and mounting screws too or water will get in there and eventually rot your gunnel out.

Drilling the correct angle if using angled rod holders is equally important too. Most shops have special jigs they use to hold the hole saw at the correct angle which is almost impossible to do by eye/hand.

Very important to use backing plates if these rod holders are going to be used for trolling, otherwise heavy lures and rods can bend the rod holders out of shape.
