Had our annual family charter for Fathers day today on the Fish Monger
Our first time on the Monger but not our last
We had a group of 10 that sailed looking for sea bass
Jerry has decided power drifting on a piece to see what it yields is the most productive way to work it
We culled thru shorts and caught keepers on all spots we tried. Was never stupid fishing but was always a steady pick
We finished the day with our limit of sea bass, about a dozen nice sized ling an 2 keeper cod
My father in law had to return 2 nice sized tog
For people looking to sail with family or even to jump on an open boat, the monger is family friendly, roomy and has a clean working head which when fishing with wife / daughter is a key item to have
Mates John and Nate where always there and even baited my hook for me on most occasions :)
I have never read a bad review on the monger and now know why, They lived up to their reputatuion, in fact exceeded it
