The bays have been loaded with Bluefish this year. They follow the bait and warmer water, which has held them there for a while. Not sure how the current weather will effect that because it will definitely moderate the water temperatures, which should help fishing for some of the other species. They will probably spread out some. No more South wind please. You might want to think about crimping the barbs on a lure or too, it makes it a lot easier de hooking Bluefish.

All the time no matter what? That is why he is not a sponsor because he has been lying for years and people know about him Call Pete at Atlantic Bait and tackle and get the truth. By the way he is a site sponsor. Freds info of what to use is correct but no fish bite all the time.

Welcome back Rammie!!

Funny story on the nesting Plovers on Sandy Hook.....

Every year for her birthday, I take my daughter and her friends out on the boat for a day of fun. Last year we decided to anchor up close to the beach just inside the false hook. I set the anchor close to shore and a few of the girls decided they'd like to jump in and wade to shore to take a walk on the beach....

As soon as they set foot on shore it was like the park police went into DEFCON 5. All of a sudden 2 SUVs came out of nowhere and proceeded to tell them they were not allowed in the area.... I found it pretty ironic that they were driving 2 ton SUVs on the nesting grounds to shoo off a few 100 pound girls that were endangering the Plovers

To add insult to injury, the girls went to get back in the water to wade back to the boat and were told that they couldn't because it was too dangerous because they were not wearing life jackets, in 3 feet of calm water

They ended up loading them all up into the SUVs and dropping them off at Horseshoe cove where I had to go to pick them up.

Don't mess with the Plovers Rammie.... You might end up in the clink.
