Saturday we had the Dolbow charter out again and we had to be patient and put in our time. Worked a bunker pod for an hour or so and with nothing happening we decided to troll south of our inlet away from the fleet and after our first runoff it was steady bites throughout the afternoon. White Maja spoons were the ticket and getting them down deep was important. We had a first time saltwater guy on the boat and he landed the first fish to break the ice at 40 inches. A few more runoffs later we got tight to a second fish that the crew made quick work of and that was it for landed fish. We had two more runoffs and that was it. Slow fishing but the group on board was great and had a good time.

Sunday we got a late start and got to the grounds around 10. Again we worked a pod first to no avail and then made the move south to start trolling. Put two fish in the boat quickly up to 45 inches on white spoons working by ourselves again. Missed the next two and then the wind starting to pick up. Made a maneuver to better our chances and worked with the following sea. An hour later the starboard rod starts screaming and its game on with an eventual 40lber. Made one last move and an hour later we get a double header to end the day. Broke one off because he got wrapped up in the line and made quick work of the other. Called it a day with 4 fish all between 30-40 pounds.

Next open boat will be next sunday may 31. Call if interested.
