We picked up a small charter this afternoon Donald Benneducco and his three sons it was good because the wind was still out of the west but the tide turned around and went out which gave us very nice conditions. We caught one striped bass that we kept and another throwback and as many bluefish as you wanted, Three hours was more than enough. A couple of people responded to the post I had last night with cooking the bluefish. The way the fish was cooked the other night was simply I took it to the diner here in Keyport he broiled it with lemon olive oil and butter it was fantastic I have many many recipes ,the reason why I mentioned that , is I seldom cook them that simply and it was so good and so easy, The real recipe is to take care of the fish properly first by bleeding the fish and then after the fish is dead and all the blood is out filleting the fish or guarding it and icing it in a timely manner. The fish as all fish should be bled in saltwater, Preferably the water that the fish came out of. On your own boat you should have a cooler and fill it with seawater on a party boat you can bring your cooler on the party boat and do the same, and a charter boat should do it for you . that's the most important recipe . any others just call me . we have an open boat fri, sat, sat. p. m. sun. & mon. bass & blues and split the trip for fluke as wel. the weather looks nice . call for info. & res.
