What's going on guys. I'm Jay. I grew up in NJ and moved to Tucson, AZ 4 years ago. I am back in NJ to take care of my parents for a little while, and plan on doing a lot of fishing while I am here. Two of my goals are to learn how to fly fish and to catch a pike.
So I fished the upper NBR this morning. Water temp was 58 degrees and slightly murky after the rain. Caught 6 wild browns and 3 stockies. The wild browns were very aggressive, it seemed like I got a bite in every pool! They weren't very big, but were still fun to catch (largest one was about 9".)

Welcome to the site. Would love see some photos of the Browns from the NB.
Contact your local Trout Unlimited group for more fly fishing info, and use the search feature on here to look up some very interesting pike info via posts on here. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. Yes it is me from the other day. I did not take pic. I used to bring my phone with me and take pics, but I got it wet last month. After spending $125 to fix it, I decided not to take chances for now.
Laughing... Its like a trout stocking reunion! if you have an iPhone or an Samsung galaxy, go buy a lifeproof case! That way you can take pics, have a phone on you if you need to call the CO's and there are a lot of useful apps such as "river data".

Thanks EJS. Just bought a used lifeproof case for my phone on ebay for $20.

Make sure you test it! Fill a bowl with water. Fold up a paper towel and seal it inside the case WITHOUT THE PHONE, place the case in the water and weight it down under the water. Wait 15 minutes and them pull it out. Dry off the case and open, hopefully the towel is dry. If so you are good to go! If you need parts, like gaskets or panels, let me know, I have several used cases I could scrounge parts from.

Hey Jay...welcome to the site.
Sounds like a nice little outing you had there dude. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome to the best stocked state in the US. I keep my cellphone in a zip lock plastic bag while I'm fishing. It works and you can talk thru the plastic if you have to.
