Looking to jump on a charter this summer for tuna. Any recommendations on a specific boat? During the summer is it mostly trolling? Any insight would be great.

This is my experience on my offshore/canyon trips.
June,July are mostly trolling maybe some sharking/sword at night .August can offer some real overnight chances/opportunities to catch tuna on chunk/bait. Then Sept gets the overnighter type trips going. This is for the canyons off the jersey coast.

Thank you for the information. Sounds like august might be a good time to go. The night chunk bite is really fun. I'm trying to go earlier because the last few years all my trips in October were canceled.
