Going on vacation from June 6th to the 13th in LBI and was curious how you guys feel about the party boats there. I plan to do 2 trips and will go fluking unless the striper bite is truly on down there. How is the fluking that time of year, what depths do they generally fish, and how are the boats compared to up north? I'm hoping they don't care for braid as some boats I hear do. It'll be nice to be 5 minutes from the boat for once :D

I don't think there are any party boats left down there...

Miss Beach Haven is gone? That's the one I figured to go on since I'm in Beach Haven. I know the Doris Mae is gone but the Carolyn Anns site is running.

Saltlife, I've seen your sig a million times on here, and my first click on the Carolyn Anns site was your signature in the picture area :p

In BL, there is the Miss BL and the Carolyn Ann, Miss Bl will be bluefishing and CA3 will most likely be wreck fishing. Miss Beach Haven will be on south end probably wreck and bay.

Not a lot of choices but the remaining boats are good, the captains usually put their fares on the bite. The only problem is they are usually "railed" on every trip. Small island, two boats fishing... Pent up demand if you will. :p
