If there was one time of year to be fishing this area, now would be the time...

You know fishing from shore it's a lot about being in the right place at the right time. This would be the right place and if you put in your time, eventually it's going to be the right time.

If I were you I'd not wait for reports. I'd also be bringing 2 poles... One bait pole with clams and bunker and a casting pole for surface plugs or Bunker and Shad imitation soft bodies.
