We had a bunch of good ling anglers on board today and everyone went home with fish. Although there were fish around the boat mid ships did best and that is where some of the sharpest where fishing. Over the years Noel has been high hook most trips and today was game on. He ended the day with 34 ling. Others had 25 to 30.
The fish are moving and we had a few fluke and sea robins plus sea bass and tog. Most of the ling where good size. It was a good catch for tough conditions to keep the boat on the wreck. You know things are getting right when the double headers start.
We will sail Friday and Saturday at 7:00 am and Sunday at 7:30.
Looking ahead to next week our tentative schedule Is off Mon and Tuesday Ling fishing Wed Thur and Fri and charted on Sat.
FIRST BOAT OUT AND FIRST ON THE GROUNDS.
Make sure you ask the mates if you are not sure on the proper rig. You need hooks on the bottom and bounce the baits.
NO GALLEY TILL NEXT WEEK.
