Wednesday after work I met friends John, Tom, Hank and Jeff at the Hallie Loren in Keyport for an after work trip. Lines off at 4:45pm we head into the Raritan at the beginning of the incoming tide. The chop made it tuff to locate any Bunker so we set out the plugs and trolled an area that has been productive lately. Bluefish were caught while setting out the lines and we had some fun with them along with a short Striper. Then the port rod goes down and Tom reels in a nice 25 lb Striper. A couple more blues were boated. I went back and trolled the same pattern and John and Hank each caught nice Stripers a 19lb and 22lb. The sun was setting so we pulled the plug and made it back to the marina at 8:45pm for the cleanup. Get out while it's hot..
It was a fun evening on the water with some great guys. Stay Hydrated! Eddie

Much Better Dan, We did not have to clean the lures once. Temps were 60 then down to 58.5 with the incoming.

Thanks Joe, I'll be in for an eggplant parm soon at the Anchor Inn..

Nice. Has anybody had any luck after the sun has gone down? I'm thinking about trying tomorrow Early evening into night to fish the whole incoming tide.
