Does anybody know what that scum is that is all over the bay, and where it is from?

I thought Algae needed warm water? We sure dont have that. The article mentions 80 degree SST. Not this year at this time. Even 60's would be generously high now. Maybe in July?

It's all over the bay, maybe thicker in the west.

The stuff on top could be pollen but the reason the water is so brown is the algea bloom. Read the article I linked to in my original post, it's happened the past few Aprils and all it takes is a few sunny for it to occur.
