Question. I don't striper fish so I want to know when I go out tomorrow how much bait do I need? How many clams and how much fresh bunker and frozen bunker?

Bushel should be more then enough for 3 guys...

You should also be making sure you get the entire Clam out of the shell when you shuck them including all the snot and strings. Stripers love the snot and strings.

Take the empty shells and crack them over the side to put some additional scent in the water too.

Dont expect to just show up at a bait store and say " give me a bushel of clams."
Call today and reserve one before they sell out.

I would bring bunker net if any of you guys know how to through one.
If not buy some bunker or at least bring some snag hooks with you.
If all else fails call Joey da Fish and he can give you pointers on the art of the troll.

So we got out around 6am headed to the back of the bay. Marked fish but couldn't get them to bite. So we moved to another spot. 5 min after setting up there we had action. Finished the day with 2 keepers 19lbs and 14lbs. I was pleased since it was my very first fishing trip on my own boat and I don't go for stripers really ever on any boat.
