The National Marine Fisheries Service has proposed bluefish limits for 2015 and is giving a few weeks to comment: http://www.examiner.com/article/bluefish-catch-limit-proposed-for-this-year?cid=db_articles

Any limit that is less then 10 fish would be bs! A reasonable limit would be 10 fish any size no season!

This made me think!! Why can we keep baby bluefish? Can you imaging doing that with any other species?? I guess because they are so accessible? Great for the kids and tasty. Never thought about it until now.

I agree 10 any size! There must be rumblings of a greater commercial demand for them somewhere....SO we get SCREWED!

I guess the Jersey law 10 would stay within 3 miles. So snappers are safe.

Who knows why there should be a limit. I always found NJ's 10 too many to consume anyway. But its an abundant resource.

If they were so abundant the Doris Mae would still be in business! I'm all for the 10 any size. If they don't have a hole in them from a gaff, they go back in the water anyways.

But its an abundant resource.

Let's keep it that way.
