We Had the Howard Allen (HowardA780) along with Leif, Jon Devin, and friends - charter aboard the Mushin for a offshore cod wreck trip. We found life at every stop. Both jigs and bait worked. Bait out performed the jigs. Had a nice mix of cod pollock and ling. We had to work through some shorts but the guys put a nice catch together of cod to 25lbs! Always a good time with this group! Thanks again! Have some dates available please call to book or go to

Another great trip on the Mushin with almost perfect weather.
Allen had us on the first wreck just as the sun was coming up. There was a lot of life on every wreck we stopped on. We caught a load of cod and had over 20 keepers, some pollack and huge ocean perch.
The Mushin is the most comfortable boat I have fished on in a long time. A huge salon with all the comforts of home. Wrap around sofa, bunks, large screen TV, a nice size galley.
Thanks to Capt's Allen & Chad, and Daryl for taking care of our group. We'll be back for sure!

Nice catch! Love the 44' Henriques, it is a beast in the snot.

Howie and all - thanks again - glad you guys had a blast pulling cod and pollock in NJ! Thanks for feeding us so well - too bad the offshore harbor seal didn't like bergalls for lunch!
Billfish16 - thanks for the kudos on the 44 Henriques - we especially love the platform when the seas kick up - it was a lake out there all day - but kicked up tight out of the south when headed home - but the guys snoozed in comfort all the way back!

I thought the captain was joking when we got in and he said it got snotty on the way back in. I was sleeping in one of the bunks and didn't feel a thing.
It was great getting the band back together again and pulling in some finned creatures. We had it all, cod, pollock, ling, pout, jumbo bergals, dogs, sculpin and more.
The Mushin is about as comfy as it gets and the crew is great.
Jon, you forgot to mention the "sea spinchters" we plucked off the wrecks. We had a great time. Like the guys said....great crew and boat. Now I'm spoiled. Can't wait to get out again with the boys.
Awesome cod dinner tonight!
