Finally got my buddy to take his boat out. Glad he did. Launched outta keyport and headed east. 5 minute trip and we decided to anchor up in 10ft of water. We had fresh bunker and clams. They decided to fish bait. I started off with plugs....and never looked back. Almost every cast for the next 4 hours it was insane fishing. My friend described it as dopey. More keepers than shorts too which was a good sign. My friends switched over to artificials after I landed the 5th one in 6 casts. Biggest one was lost at boat side bc we forgot the net in the truck, would say about 18lbs. But quality fish for this time of year. They are here in full force. Water temp read at 54 degrees. I would say we landed between 60-70 fish between 3 of us. Go get em guys!
