Good cod trip Sunday

Sundays Openboat trip to the mid range wrecks was a good one! A great group of guys from the board put 43 keeper cod and over 100 shorts in the boat. The 6 anglers also caught 7 big ling, 2 jumbo blackfish, a few polock,along with a few pout, cunner and pups. Good weather and cast of characters made for a great day

I had a great time, I was probably low hook and came home with 5 cod (3 over 25") and a tog that was about 3#. Had to toss back about 15-20 short cod, missed the mark by about 1/2" on most. Good group of guys, Great Captain, Mate :D and boat. We did in 11 hrs. what a big boat really can't do in 18. Got everyone into lots of fish, made small moves to stay on the piece, steamed out and back at around 35 kts, always fresh bait within a couple steps, and the Mate and usually the Captain working the deck. I've been on this boat before so I'm not surprised at the consistent job that gets done. Thanks Dave.

I was out with Captain Dave on Sunday. Fishing was solid and the weather was perfect. Dave put us on constant action of keepers and many 20 1/2 inch fish. I ended up with 10 keeper cod and 2 nice ling.
