My old fishing buddy has bit the dust...he went and found religion. Not only is he no longer available for drinking and chasing women, but he too busy to fish on Sundays and isn't reliable on Saturdays either.
Now I have nothing against religion, practice where, when and how you want, you have my full respect. Personally, I worship Dagon the fish god and I feed his fish as often as I can. It's not my fault that some of them are stupid and bite the hook too.
So, what this comes down to is the fact that I need a new fishing buddy. I live in NW NJ (Allamuchy, to be specific), I fish sweet and salty water. I have a 14' tin boat that I haul to the local lakes and a 21' hardtop Trophy that I trailer to Raritan Bay and it's localities.
I'm looking for someone who loves to fish.....on the salt I usually try to get out once or twice a month during striper/fluke/seabass seasons, for the sweetwater, my usual haunts are the Pequest River (only a mile from my house...quite convenient), Hopatcong, Swartswood and the Delaware. I try to make it up to Lake Erie for walleye and Lake Ontario for salmon at least once a year.
Ideally, my new fishing buddy has his own gear, has some idea how to use it, is willing to split expenses and enjoys cold beer, fine tequila and cheap women (or is that the other way around?).
Currently I'm recovering from elbow surgery...had a torn bicep tendon and I'm waiting for the doc to give me clearance to go fishing. Should be ready for striper by May 1.
PM your qualifications and we'll setup an interview :D
(And yes...I really am looking for someone to fish with, this post isn't completely tongue-in-cheek)
