Please help me extend a warm NJFishing.com welcome to Captains Alan, Ray and Chad from Mushin Sportfishing sailing out of the Canyon River Club in Point Pleasant Beachj NJ www.mushinsportfishing.com

The MushinMushin is a Henriques 44 foot Flybridge Sportfisherman, a semi-custom built sportfishing yacht considered by many to be one of the premiere offshore vessels. She is powered by twin Detroit Diesel motors totaling 1100 horsepower that afford a comfortable 23 knot cruise and top-end speeds approaching 30 knots. She is a well-proportioned and well-appointed vessel that will exceed your expectations. The vessel is perfect for the 6-person trips they do – an enormous fishing area (cockpit) that measures over 170 square feet with cavernous amounts of fish storage; roomy and comfortable salon (main cabin) for relaxing and entertaining in air conditioned/heated space; two spacious staterooms with bunks; complete galley with electric stove/oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker; and a full head (bathroom). Other comforts include 32000 BTU air conditioning/heating, hot/cold freshwater, DIRECTV HD satellite television/programming on 48-inch flat screen HDTV, surround sound system, DVD/VCR/stereo, cell phone booster (affords coverage to about 10 miles out), and full carpeting. An 8-kw Onan generator supplies plenty of electrical power on the water.

The crew of the Mushin takes a lot of pride developing trips that are tailored to their client's interests, skill level, and desires. Their Captains, Ray Bukowski, Jr., Jay Andrews, Chad Bennett and Alan have been in the business for decades and enjoy doing this well, entertaining their clients on the water and take a lot of price in what they do.

Welcome Team Mushin!!

Thanks for coming aboard.

We've fished with Alan on the Mushin several times. Excellent cod trips and striper trips.

Great boat if it gets sloppy and very fast as well.

Thanks to all for the welcome and compliments. We are very excited to join the many fine anglers and boats on NJFishing - I think we know many of you already, and look forward to getting to know many others! We are big believers in supporting each other and having a fun time at it!

So it looks like this weekend is a blow-out with the wind, but we are starting to pursue cod and tog through April. Our schedule then concentrates on striper trolling, jigging, and live-lining in May and early June. We will post some open-boat type trips as it gets a little closer, in addition to taking charters for the bassing. As June rolls around, we are into Mako mode, and combine some of these charters to search for bluefins. Late June through October will be prime time for trolling and chunking trips to the canyons - and the Henriques 44 makes a great platform to fish the canyons in comfort and style. We still have weekend canyon dates open, and will set up some open boat canyon trips as well. We will certainly target bottom fishing on sea bass, but as you guys know we are still waiting to see when we can do that.

We welcome hearing from the NJFishing community - stop by if you're around!
Thanks,
Alan
