I paid $20.00 an inch as well at a Taxidermist in Neptune. Haven't gotten it back yet.

It was a guy from Louisiana. His name is hank. This was his first time ever seeing a tautog.
waiting on a 20 pounder before I pull the trigger. Have it all planned out in my head how it is going to go down. Fish lives, I catch a Tog of a lifetime and everyone is happy. All I need is to get the right bite, not get rocked and have tackle hold up. Both skill and luck have to be on your side for all those things to come together. The hunt continues April 1st.

Where is that guy located? I also want to get my 30" inch fluke done. Maybe I'll wait for next year's tax return haha!

He's in New Hampshire, looks like he charges $20 to $25 per inch...not much difference then a skin mount.

I am an ass, I should have had that guy do my 18 lb blackfish or the 12 lb fluke that won the Elks.....shameless plug..:o
But really i wish I would have done it, I'm sure I'll never repeat either.
