Very sad news. She's the first boat I fished offshore on and I'm now 53 year old. I was 10 at the time. I hope she lives to fish another day.

The K II was afloat yesterday afternoon. There was a boom around it to protect from any oil spill. The crew brought pumps and hoses on board and seemed to have it bailed out. We were having a late lunch at the Shrimp Box with a window seat and had a perfect view of the activity. It was floating when we got there in the afternoon, but, having no idea what had happened prior to our arrival, I thought the boat was being prepped as a donation to the artificial reef program. The full moon low tides, west wind and ice have to be contributors to the problem.

The picture of the Norma K II is frighteningly similar to the picture that was posted of the Northstar II in the Captree ice. Was there bad Juju with the Point Pleasant slip ( The Miss Point Pleasant sunk there in the fall) or was it the Roman Numeral II like in Captree?
