Lets hear the opinions - for you tile fisherman out there, what brand and color braid do you like best?

I personally use 50lb braid for all of my tilefishing both here and in Key West. I have reels filled with Sufix 832, Momoi Diamond Braid, Sufix Performance Braid, and Power Pro. They are all good. I use all hi vis colors because I do all of my tilefishing from party boats. The bright colors let me easily spot my line in tangles with other fishermen. Use whatever color and brand you have faith in but do yourself a favor and stick to 50lb or at most 65lb.

Depending on where and how I am fishing I usually use 50 or 65#. Sometimes when we are fishing shallow and it is a mix of blue lines and small to medium sized Golden's I will drop down to 30#. I use tuffline xp, suffix 832, or Jerry Brown. Only use solid braid, hollow has its place and this is not it. I agree with Dave, go with something that is easily visible. I like white or blue best.

Thanks Dave and Mike - I appreciate the input, you each listed some good options. If I may ask, if you each had to choose one, which would it be?

I think Dave summed it up best. If just a dedicated tile reel then you will be fine with 50lb braid. Only reason I personally went with 65lb cause the reel doubles as my tuna jigging setup for TnT trips.... Tuna and Tile...

I would go with 65#. When Tilefishing on a party boat tangles are inevitable and tangles weaken the line. I would rather have the extra security when I hook into a big tile.

Mike,
I guess in this case we can agree to disagree. I have NEVER broken 50lb braid on either a fish or due to a tangle.

I think this got a bit sideways - I guess I should have asked my question a bit differently...
If you had to pick one braid for this purpose, what brand and color would you choose as the favorite, assuming that lb test and solid core was already decided on?

My first choice is Sufix 832, lime green.

Daiwa dendo boat braid or sufix 832. Never party boat fished for them so never had to worry about color much, but something hi vis would def help with the party boat tangles. Just don't go a over #65. Hard to break off if u get hung up...
