Yesterday was your day. I was shoveling snow at 11 am and it got up to 45 and was quite sunny.
After snow cleaning I pulled the kayak out of the garage and gave it a once over for a spring re stock of gear.
Few more weks and we will be fishing before you know it.

man i tried doing it the other day and i just couldn't get the lead hot enough or the mold! I might try covering the hot pot with something to trap the heat a little more and just blast the mold with a heat gun and pour jigs one by one! tomorrow might be ok it's supposed to be mid to high 30's in some places

What equip are you using? Temp never stopped me, even last week when it was in the single degress without the wind chill factor. If you are outside, which you should be, then try to block the pot with something to shield it from the wind.

What's the rush? There's nothing out there to fish for.

"Back in the day",my grandfather and I poured lead in the basement all winter long with an open cellar window at sidewalk level and a vent then went under the front porch. Tons of splitshots were made for the little tackle shop.....we didn't give too much thought to the noxious fumes back then..........

Ill be using a little 10 lb electric pot...Im going on guys weekend to worlds end state park this coming weekend. Im going to bring the jig pouring gear with me.. I figure I can keep the mold hot by the fire if I need be and the cabins have covered porches.. Im sure I should be able to find a way out of the wind..
