Hi, I took a ride from my house in Brick to Manasquan inlet (Point side) last Monday. It was raining but kinda warm for this winter. I saw a seal swimming on the surface with a fish in its mouth and flippers. It was hard to tell what it was. Probably too big to be a herring. Maybe a small striper or shad. There was a shot of herring several weeks back but haven't heard about anything lately. :D

If there's herring, shark river is a good bet as well.

Cast from the north side not far from the bridge.

Caught a bunch last year in January, but the water got colder faster last year.

Seals= herring

I've seen seals dig up hibernating flounder as well.
