Today we ran a 6 AM OPEN BOAT CODFISH TRIP that did not disappoint. It was impressive with plenty of life on all our drops. Many shorts, but the guys fished hard all day and everyone was rewarded with big bags of fillets, with a handful of nice Blackfish all caught on the freshest clams.

Thanks Eddie, the numbers were impressive, a load of fish which was great to see, just had to try to get thru the runts which was difficult. Nothing large, we will be checking other areas nearby tomorrow for some larger sizes. Just a great sign!

Good trip as always capt. Was surprised to see the amount of cod out there. Though many of them were shorts, any action this time of year is good. Plus I got my three keeper tog! Hope to get out with you guys next week after this blow.
